It may be cold outside, but a determined group of Olympians is just getting warmed up. Ahead of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, Airbnb is rolling out a campaign that puts athlete stories front and center.

The brand released a series of mini documentaries following athletes who are supported by its Travel Grant and Airbnb500 programs, which provide accommodations to help competitors focus on training rather than logistics. With the Games set to kick off in Italy next month, the films highlight how access to the right space can be a competitive advantage.

The centerpiece is “Bring It Home,” a 15-minute documentary created in-house. It features Brazil’s bobsled team training in unconventional spaces including kitchens, garages, and even bathrooms.

The film also follows Andrea, an Italian Paralympic hockey player who discusses his journey from a sprawling Milanese loft, and Donovan, a figure skater making history as the first Mexican Winter Olympian in 30 years as he trains in Ontario.

The campaign addresses a challenge many Olympic hopefuls face during months of preparation. The isolation and instability of constant travel can make the solitary pursuit of excellence a lonely experience.

“Whether they need extra space to stay together with family while training or a kitchen for home-cooked meals, Airbnb offers the right environment for each athlete, so they can compete at their best,” Rebecca Van Dyck, Airbnb’s chief marketing officer, said in a statement. “We’re excited to tell those stories in this new campaign and most importantly help these athletes to feel at home.”

A 30-second spot teasing the “Bring It Home” documentary will air during this weekend’s NFL Conference Championship games, giving the campaign premium placement ahead of the Olympics. The full documentary series is available to watch online.

In addition to its athlete grants, Airbnb is rolling out more 25 exclusive Airbnb Experiences around the Games, giving guests access to athletes and Olympic events.
