Do you like scary movies? Paramount sure hopes so.

The studio recently kicked off this year’s Super Bowl movie spots, debuting its new trailer for the upcoming horror film Scream 7. In addition to Paramount, this year’s Super Bowl movie advertisers include several usual suspects, with Disney and Universal debuting multiple trailers; however, there is perhaps a slight tweak to strategy.

Disney, which typically promotes its Marvel films during the Big Game, with Thunderbolts appearing in the game last year and Deadpool & Wolverine the year before, is making the MCU sit this one out. It’s an interesting change, given that the studio has Avengers: Doomsday (Dec. 18) and Spider-Man: Brand New Day (Jul. 31) premiering in 2026; however, there’s still plenty to promote.

Though it’s speculation for now, Disney is expected to put its weight behind The Mandalorian and Grogu (May 22); Hoppers (March 6), an upcoming Pixar film; and possibly Toy Story 5 (June 19) for Super Bowl 60.

Meanwhile, with NBCUniversal broadcasting the game, Universal is also expected to make a big push, promoting Disclosure Day (June 12), The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (April 1), and Minions 3 (July 1). Universal declined to comment.

Additionally, Variety reports Lionsgate will showcase a spot for its upcoming Michael Jackson biopic, Michael (April 24). However, that ad may air in the pre-game portion of the Super Bowl.

With that, it appears Netflix, Apple, Sony, and Warner Bros. Discovery are sitting out this time around. That’s a typical list of benchwarmers; however, with ads reaching $10 million for 30 seconds for the first time, it makes sense that not everyone is clamoring for the game.

Since NBCU is already selling potential overtime spots, there’s still room for surprises, and with NBC and Peacock also planning to promote several of their shows, there will be plenty of trailers throughout the night.

We’ll be updating this list as the trailers come in, so see them all below:

    Scream 7 (Feb. 27)

Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Media Group are bringing back Ghostface—and Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell)—for another killer showdown. The film also brings the old gang back together, with Courteney Cox and Matthew Lillard supposedly coming back—somehow.
