When Cardi B is overwhelmed, even she can lose track of what matters.

That’s the premise behind Yahoo Mail’s latest campaign, “Cardi B Busy,” which introduces Planner, a new AI-powered feature designed to turn the inbox into a personal productivity hub.

Created with Pasadena-based Conscious Minds and directed by Maya Table, the 45-second spot opens with an overwhelmed Cardi struggling to keep track of competing demands, surrounded by a sea of Post-it notes and notifications.

She’s eventually rescued by her manager and creative director Patientce Foster, who introduces her to Planner, where her schedule, including an 11 a.m. reminder to “laugh at my haters,” is neatly organized.

The campaign introduces the concept of “FOMSI,” or the Fear of Missing Something Important, positioning Planner as a solution for managing the everyday chaos of modern life.

Billed by Yahoo as a “personal productivity hub,” Planner uses AI to turn emails into actionable tasks, automatically surfacing key details—like appointments, deadlines, and reminders—and integrating them into a single, streamlined view.

“Cardi is the ultimate multi-hyphenate: an artist, entrepreneur, mom, and so much more, so naturally she’s busy,” Josh Line, chief marketing officer at Yahoo, said in a statement. ”With this campaign, we’re showing how the new Planner feature from Yahoo Mail brings everything together in one place, so you can squash your FOMSI and stay on top of what matters.”

Alongside the launch, Yahoo is also introducing Sponsored Events, a new ad format within Planner that allows brands to surface timely reminders directly into users’ workflows. The feature debuts with H&R Block, which will highlight key tax deadlines and filing prompts.

“Cardi B Busy” will run across Yahoo’s social channels, including Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
