Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra Review AM AH 16

Samsung yesterday released the One UI 4.1 update for the Galaxy S20 series. While the rollout was initially limited to South Korea, it is now available in the US as well. The Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Galaxy Note 20 series are also now receiving the new One UI version stateside. Lastly, the One UI 4.1 update for the US-bound Galaxy S21 series is now available widely.

Starting with the Galaxy S20 series, the One UI 4.1 update for the 2020 flagship trio is now available to Verizon customers in the US. Rolling out with firmware version G98xUSQU2FVC5, the latest iteration of Samsung’s custom Android software should reach other carrier networks over the next few days. The update comes complete with the March security patch. The Galaxy S20 FE has yet to receive this update.

The Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Galaxy Note 20 series, all of which recently received One UI 4.1 in international markets, are now making the jump in the US as well. The update for the Verizon units is rolling out with firmware version F916USQU2GVC5, F926USQU1CVC5, and N986USQU2FVC5 respectively.

Verizon Galaxy S21 units are also now picking up the One UI 4.1 update. When the rollout began yesterday, it was only available to T-Mobile and Sprint customers. AT&T should soon join the fun as well. The latest update for the 2021 flagships comes with firmware version G99xUSQU5CVC4 and bundles the March SMR (security maintenance release). The same update for Galaxy S21 FE bears the firmware version G990USQU2CVC3.

One UI 4.1 reaches more Galaxy smartphones in the US

Debuted on the Galaxy S22 series last month, Samsung recently began rolling out One UI 4.1 to its older devices. And in no time, the company has already seeded the new One UI version to more than a dozen Galaxy devices. It is now rapidly bringing the new software package to the US-bound units as well.

One UI 4.1 brings a host of new features to eligible Samsung smartphones and tablets. We have Live Sharing in Google Duo, enhanced RAM Plus, enhanced Object Eraser, Grammarly-integrated Samsung Keyboard, and a bunch of camera features. Some features may not be available on all devices but most will.

If you’re using any of Samsung’s recent flagships smartphones in the US, you should receive the One UI 4.1 update soon. Watch out for a notification in the coming days. You can also manually check for updates from the Settings app, under the Software update menu.
