On Monday, Anthropic announced a new tool called Cowork, designed as a more accessible version of Claude Code. Built into the Claude Desktop app, the new tool lets users designate a specific folder where Claude can read or modify files, with further instructions given through the standard chat interface. The result is similar to a sandboxed instance of Claude Code, but requires far less technical savvy to set up. Currently in research preview, Cowork is only available to Max subscribers, with a waitlist available for users on other plans. The new tool is inspired in part by the growing number…
Looking for a wallet-friendly gaming headset with big feature support? The Corsair Void Wireless V2 is currently marked down to just $80 at both Best Buy and Amazon, a healthy $50 discount from their usual retail price. This lightweight yet capable gaming headset was already a great buy before the discount, with wide compatibility and a comfortable design built for long grinds. They’re one of the more comfortable gaming headsets that I’ve had the opportunity to review, thanks to a combination of their super lightweight build and breathable mesh earcups, and they even fit my oversized noggin. Because they don’t have…
This post was created in partnership with Monks and Leonardo.AiIf everyone can generate a masterpiece in seconds, the masterpiece itself is no longer the point—the why behind it is.During a CES 2026 ADWEEK House session co-hosted with Monks and Leonardo.Ai, Will Lee, CEO of ADWEEK, sat down in conversation with Donna Smith, SVP of global partnerships at Monks, and Dwayne Koh, head of creative at Leonardo.Ai. Automated investment platform Betterment has confirmed that hackers broke into some of its systems last week and accessed the personal information of an undisclosed number of its customers. In an email sent on Monday, which TechCrunch has seen, Betterment said that hackers gained access to some company systems on January 9 by way of a social engineering attack, which involved “third-party platforms” that the company uses for marketing and operations. The company said customer names, email addresses and postal addresses, phone numbers, and dates of birth were compromised in the attack. With this access, hackers were able to send a…
Apple will use Google’s Gemini artificial intelligence models to power a new generation of Siri, the companies announced Monday, marking a rare partnership between longtime rivals and a tacit admission that the iPhone maker needs outside help to accelerate its AI ambitions.Under a multi-year deal, Google’s models and cloud infrastructure will underpin Apple’s foundational AI models and power features rolling out later this year, including Apple’s updated Siri assistant, the companies said in a joint statement. “After careful evaluation, Apple determined that Google’s Al technology provides the most capable foundation for Apple Foundation Models and is excited about the innovative new…
It’s official. Apple has chosen to work with Google, a longtime partner, to power AI features like Siri. “After careful evaluation, we determined that Google’s technology provides the most capable foundation for Apple Foundation Models and we’re excited about the innovative new experiences it will unlock for our users,” Apple and Google said in a statement. The partnership confirms previous reporting on a deal with Google. Neither Apple nor Google have confirmed the price tag, but previous reports indicate Apple could be paying Google around$1 billion for access to its AI technology. The deal also comes after Apple spent some…
My old setup was running a fairly massive 360-mm AIO CPU cooler, which might be overkill, but it did raise an interesting predicament when moving into the X50. Ideally, the radiator would be mounted at the top of the case, so the pump in the CPU block is always filled with liquid, but with the PSU at the top, that’s not an option.Thankfully, both the front and motherboard sides of the case support up to three fans each, with room for massive radiators. There are enough options that I actually spent quite a bit of time agonizing over how I…
All right, guys: Buckle up.Mark Ritson is launching the ADWEEK MiniMBA in Marketing this April, a ten-week, MBA-level program designed for senior managers who either never received proper marketing training or need a serious refresher. And if you’ve read any of his columns on ADWEEK over the past year, you know exactly what you’re getting into.Perhaps you even took them personally. But that’s good, and it should inspire you to take the course. This isn’t some feel-good lovefest bloated with buzzwords and best practices that don’t actually work. Mark brings a PhD in Marketing, 25 years teaching at institutions like London…
Compare Our PicksOthers TestedPhotograph: Molly HigginsEnabot Rola PetPal Robot Pet Companion for $229 (with no attachments): This rolling pet camera has the best of intentions, but the sometimes glitchy app makes the combo pet camera/toy/feeder a little unpredictable. Through the app, you can watch your pets on the security cam and drive the robot around, pressing buttons to do tricks and dispense treats. You can watch the camera feed live from the app, but you can also schedule recordings, which are viewable via cloud Playback, and it compiles a 30-second “day in the life” compilation. The robot is also supposed…
Goth culture is seeing a resurgence–thanks in part to Gen Z–and Liquid Death and e.l.f. Cosmetics are reuniting to lean into the darkness. The beauty brand and non-alcoholic beverage maker have teamed up again to launch a limited-edition line of “Lip Embalms,” expanding a partnership that previously went viral. The new campaign revives black metal frontman Glothar, last seen in 2024’s “Corpse Paint” collaboration, in which the two brands created a ghoulish makeup kit that sold out in 45 minutes and racked up thousands of views across social media. The latest effort shifts the tone to theatrical absurdity. In a musical spot that…
If I were buying a camera today, this is the body I would get, travel or otherwise. The A7C R is one of the smallest full-frame, interchangeable-lens cameras on the market. This is why it’s our top pick for travelers in our guide to the Best Mirrorless Cameras. The 61-MP sensor offers amazing detail and very good dynamic range (14.7 EV). The super fast autofocus system is among the best you’ll find in mirrorless camera, and there’s great subject tracking as well, making it perfect for shooting fast-moving scenes on the go.While Sony’s R series cameras are mainly for high…
Former Google executive Justin Inman is betting that the next major battleground for brands won’t be search rankings or social feeds—but AI-generated answers. His startup, Emberos, announced Monday it raised $1.2 million in pre-seed funding from a single angel investor. Inman, who is Emberos’ founder and chief executive officer, declined to disclose specifics. Founded last year, the company is positioning itself for a moment when discovery increasingly happens inside AI-generated responses rather than through blue-link search results.Emberos works across five major AI platforms—ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Grok—and plans to expand into voice assistants like Alexa. Its pricing is based on…
After five years of building an edtech company, Nathan Nwachuku, 22, realized that Africa was at a crossroads. The continent is undergoing rapid industrialization, he told TechCrunch. There is money, opportunity, and a young, driven population. He figured, soon enough, the continent was on the “edge of an industrial revolution.” “At the same time,” he said, he felt the continent still struggled to address what was one of its biggest Achilles heels. “Terrorism and insecurity.” Africa has more terror-related deaths than any region in the world, and it is this problem that could slow down — or even stop completely…
Sunday’s 83rd Golden Globes on CBS sought to build off the awards show’s growing audience from last year, delivering several award-worthy moments. But, as shown by the show’s widely derided ads for betting platform Polymarket, the odds weren’t always in the program’s favor. The 2026 ceremony featured Nikki Glaser returning for a second year to host the show at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, bringing another critically acclaimed monologue, a sketch poking fun at podcasts, and even a KPop Demon Hunters and Marty Supreme mashup, which was reminiscent of her “Pope-ular” Wicked-Conclave mashup from last year.Among the big winners,…
Known for its bidding-based approach to fares, inDrive is deepening its push beyond ride-hailing by rolling out advertising across its top 20 markets and expanding grocery delivery to Pakistan, executing on a “super app” strategy outlined last year to build new revenue streams and boost engagement while sustaining growth in price-sensitive markets. The latest move by the Mountain View, California–headquartered firm comes as ride-hailing platforms face intensifying competition and tighter margins across emerging markets, pushing companies to look beyond transport for growth. Advertising offers a high-margin revenue stream that scales with usage, while grocery delivery increases how frequently users open…
Instagram says that although some users received suspicious-looking password reset requests, it has not been breached. That seemingly contradicts a Friday Bluesky post from antivirus software company Malwarebytes, which shared a screenshot of an email from Instagram informing users of a request to reset their password. The post claimed, “Cybercriminals stole the sensitive information of 17.5 million Instagram accounts, including usernames, physical addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and more.” This data, Malwarebytes added, “is available for sale on the dark web and can be abused by cybercriminals.” However, Instagram subsequently posted (on X, rather than Instagram or Threads) that it…
