Among all cable networks, CNN moved back to fifth from sixth in total viewers, and was eighth in the demo during primetime. It was No. 4 in total day among total viewers and was sixth in the demo.
When looking at these networks’ performance during the same period a year ago:
- During primetime, Fox News was down -3% in total viewers and -21% in the A25-54 demo. During total day, the network posted losses of -2% in total viewers and -27% in the demo. It was the only network to decline in this yearly comparison.
- MS NOW was up +1% in total viewers and +11% in the demo. During total day, the network was up +3% in total viewers and +12% in the demo.
- In primetime, CNN grew by +3% in total viewers and +7% in the demo. During total day, it was up by +12% in total viewers and +5% in the demo.
PROGRAMMING:
Fox News had 14 out of the 15 spots of the most-watched cable news shows of the week, with The Five on top with 3.345 million total viewers at 5 p.m. ET. MS NOW was represented in the chart by the Monday airing of The Rachel Maddow Show at 9 p.m. ET, with 1.951 million total viewers at No. 8.
The Five also finished first in the Adults 25-54 demo, averaging 318,000 viewers at 5 p.m. ET. Fox News held 12 of the 15 top spots in the demo, with The Rachel Maddow Show in sixth place with 207,000 viewers. CNN was represented in the chart at No. 10 by CNN NewsNight with Abby Phillip, airing weeknights at 10 p.m. ET, with 160,000 demo viewers. MS NOW’s Tuesday airing of We The People 2026 from 7 p.m. ET was ranked 13th with 144,000 demo viewers.
