Joseph Edgar Foreman is still getting high. In a makeshift greenroom made from curtains at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, Afroman, as he’s better known, inhales a blunt rolled by his videographer, who’s wearing a tight cocktail dress and clear sky-high heels. The 51-year-old rapper seems unconcerned that several thousand people are waiting for him, in a room far larger than the dive bars he’s been playing over the past two decades.Foreman is wearing the same American Flag ensemble that he donned during his recent appearance in court (and now wears everywhere). In 2022, police officers raided his home…

Uber customers in the U.K. can now join an interest list to increase their chances of being matched with a Wayve autonomous vehicle — another sign that the two companies are preparing to launch a robotaxi service in London. When that launch does happen, Uber will be competing directly with Waymo, Alphabet’s self-driving company that is considered the robotaxi leader in the United States. Uber announced the interest list on Monday in London along with a branded, black Ford Mustang Mach-E equipped with Wayve’s self-driving system. While Wayve is handling the autonomous vehicle tech, Uber has designed what happens inside, including…
But one of the positive things with the 15.3-inch screen is that Lenovo didn’t try to squeeze in a number pad. No, no. Just a standard keyboard layout with a centered touchpad and an adequate amount of room for your wrists. And yet, this also doesn’t feel like an overly large laptop. The width and depth dimensions are nearly identical to the 15-inch MacBook Air, and it’s only about 0.16 inches thicker. It’s definitely a backpackable and travel-worthy device. And here’s where the remaining compromises are surprisingly few and far in-between. One of the first things I test with budget laptops…

Lilian Schmidt could not, for the life of her, figure out how to get her daughter to go to sleep.None of the advice given to her by sleep experts or her pediatrician worked—not using a white noise machine, not buying blackout curtains, not even giving her a massage. “Every single day, it took like two to three hours to put her to bed,” the brand consultant from Zurich recalls. “She’d scream and fight and we would all be so exhausted and frustrated by the end of the day.”When her daughter was 3 and a half years old, a bleary-eyed and…
The Trade Desk has seen notable turnover over the past year, including appointing four chief financial officers while a growing number of senior executives and board members have also exited. At least four board members including Lise Buyer, Gokul Rajaram and Kathryn Falberg have left since March.Frustration among departing executives has centered on the company’s rising take rate and internal leadership decisions under CEO Jeff Green. Most recently, chief strategy officer Samantha Jacobson is set to leave the company for a role at OpenAI, ADWEEK previously reported. Other senior departures have followed. Jarod Schneider, who led technical account management at the company,…
Europe is done with American Big Tech. Well, sort of. Since the start of President Donald Trump’s chaotic second administration last year, concerned governments and companies across the continent have accelerated plans to end their near-total reliance on technology from US firms.Alongside political declarations, home-grown European tech development, and millions in additional funding, a WIRED analysis has documented dozens of public instances of companies, governments, NGOs, and education establishments stepping away from US technology companies in favor of open source or local alternatives. It is likely the tip of the iceberg.“The aggressive policies by the Trump administration, attacking international law,…
No major news stories surfaced during the month of May to keep audiences engaged across the major cable news networks. This resulted in a downward trend in total viewers and the Adults 25-54 demo for all three outlets during primetime and total day.Despite posting lower month-to-month numbers, Fox News remained the most-watched cable network in total viewers. However, it surrendered that crown to ESPN in the coveted demo during both dayparts as playoff action from the NBA and NHL continued to keep viewers away from the news networks.Fox NewsAccording to Nielsen big data + panel, Fox News had 2.381 million…
Notion’s integration with Anthropic apparently had a hiccup this weekend. Early Sunday morning, the company posted, “Anthropic’s Opus 4.7 and 4.8 models are experiencing degraded performance, which is causing a higher rate of failures for users selecting these models in Notion AI.” As a result, Notion said it was disabling use of “all Anthropic models” in its automated productivity tool. Twelve hours later, Notion’s head of product Max Schoening wrote that he was “astonished” at “the amount of people RT-ing this because they want a story around model quality to be the reason.” (According to the public stats on X,…
OpenAI plans to roll out a revamped version of ChatGPT in the coming weeks — one that will serve as a “super app” with coding tools and AI agents, according to the Financial Times. The company’s goal is reportedly to become more competitive with Anthropic, particularly among business customers, and to get closer to profitability before an IPO. That means turning ChatGPT into a gateway leading free users to products they might actually pay for, such as coding product Codex. In fact, the FT quotes one senior OpenAI employee as declaring, “Chat is dead.” Thibault Sottiaux, who leads OpenAI’s core…

If anything, 2026 has made clear that cybersecurity is no longer a background concern — it’s front and center, woven into almost every major story of the year. Yes, wars are still raging, the climate keeps worsening, and we’re seemingly one dodgy sneeze away from the next global pandemic. But running beneath all of it is a digital current that touches everything: wars being fought on digital fronts as well as physical ones, governments weaponizing citizens’ own data against them, botnets quietly undermining democratic institutions, nation-state hackers targeting civilian infrastructure from power grids to water systems, and ransomware gangs holding…
At 37.7 pounds, it’s just a few pounds heavier than my traditional mountain bike. And yet, with a motor capable of providing 350 watts of assistance expertly hidden in the bottom bracket, the new eElja is anything but a traditional bike.Over the past decade or so, Icelandic brand Lauf became most well known for its innovative front suspension. Rather than the traditional piston style, Lauf created a suspension system that is almost like two forks connected by a series of small glass fiber springs. These days, Lauf is venturing into complete bikes, recently rolling out the new eElja electric mountain bike…
