A new ads leader is on the way to Roku City.

Today, Roku announced that Patrick Harris will join the company as svp, global media revenue. With the position, Harris becomes Roku’s new ads leader, reporting to Charlie Collier, president, Roku Media. Harris is based in New York and begins on March 9.

The appointment comes after the company’s former ads leader, Jay Askinasi, exited Roku late last year to join Paramount.

In the role, Harris is responsible for the “full scope of Roku’s global advertising revenue growth and performance efforts, as well as its media innovations,” according to the company. He is set to work closely with senior leadership across advertising, product, engineering, marketing, and measurement to build Roku’s monetization and expand ad leadership.

Harris has more than 25 years of industry experience and most recently served as president, Americas, at Snap Inc. He also spent 12 years at Meta, including serving as vp of Global Channels.

“Roku is defining the future of TV advertising with the scale, data, and vision to make television a truly accountable, performance‑driven platform for marketers,” Harris said in a statement. “I’m excited to join the team, help advance that mission, and deliver outcomes that matter to brands.”

Askinasi left his ad leader role at Roku last October to join Paramount as chief revenue officer, leading the company’s monetization strategy. At Paramount, Askinasi leads the company’s advertising sales team, partnering with product teams, leveraging data-driven insights, cultivating ecosystem partnerships, and driving a unified advertising platform, according to Paramount.
