Boomranng (Sonal Vasave & Makarand Narkar)
    Illustrators & designers

Layered storytelling: Boomranng’s art is deeply rooted in Indian heritage but built for a global audience. Last October, they staged Cosmicpunk, a multidisciplinary exhibition in Mumbai featuring art, jewellery, clothing, textiles, sculptures, and a book. The pieces were grounded in folklore but infused with modernity, transcending genre.

Museum to table: The duo even translated Cosmicpunk to food, working with acclaimed dim sum tea house Yauatcha for a dessert menu inspired by their exhibit.

Wide release: The creatives also took their efforts mainstream, teaming up with Coldplay on a 45-minute short, A Film for the Future, and Google for a special Doodle celebrating India’s 79th Independence Day.
