In April, advertising agency giants Publicis, WPP, and Dentsu settled with the FTC and a group of U.S. states over allegations that, since 2018, they illegally colluded to implement brand safety standards that would direct advertisers’ budgets away from certain media platforms and publishers. The government determined that collusion on these standards stifled conservative media.
